Love and Care

Just booked the church today for our wedding on 30 Jun 07. Yeps date is set. Priest has been contacted. It will be a 11.30 am mass followed by a lunch reception. where you say? Pleased to announce, to the utter delight of my groom, the venue - St Mary of the Angels Church at Bukit Batok ( www.stmary.sg ) - is fully air-conditioned. So is the luncheon venue - although we haven't decided on where, it will be a "cool" reception, if you know what i mean? Hee... one more hurdle gone, btw have i mentioned we will have very capable helpers/photographers/designers from Sophia who will be there to help us along the way. All that's left is the caterer and the LOGISTICS part, which i will leave in the capable hands of his highness hao-e to think through and "settle". Oh, and we attended 1.1 weddings today. the first was our sponsor's wedding at ctk. very beautiful and cheerful couple who were clearly enjoying their big day. when they recited their vows,

Funny Day

had to wake up at 8+ in the morning to take my antibiotics. they've prescribed me a course of antibiotics that i have to take 8-hourly, i.e. if i didn't get up at 8am, i'll have to take my third set of tablets after midnight. it was tough stayin up last night, esp when the match on tv wasn't all dat exciting. tonight'll be different. brazil is playing tonight against australia. but i think i won't be able to last past the first hour. hv been napping a lot. not sure whether its the anasthetics that haven't worn off, or i'm just plain lazy... BTW, Chewy passed her test!! though not with flying colours, but still SHE PASSED!!! well done Chewy and Hao-e!

Pain Pain Pain

Just went through some of the scariest hours of my life. hated the i/v tube. that's the tube they insert into a vein in the left wrist. ouch. so darn painful. had to walk into the op room on my own and lie down on the table. literally a table, not v comfortable. then i was soon unconscious though i remember hearing the doctor saying something about the 2nd injection being "thicker" and she was rubbing my arm.. and then it was done! woke up feeling nauseous and retched my guts out almost immediately. those must be my gastric juices or something, cos i didn't eat not drink from 1am onwards. hmm... suspisciously yellow fluid. drifted in and out for about 2 hrs b4 doc released me. mum made some yummy minced pork porridge, altho i can't eat much at all. i'm just slurping everything down. now its just pain pain and pain.

Back to Work

Went back to office for a hectic day. After 2 days nuah-ing in bed, totally not enjoying myself, i find myself stuck in the office all day doing some approval paper, and answering those thousands of feedback forms and emails, and in all not enjoying myself much afterall. what's the point? sat thru this meeting for 1.5 hours discussing about a new project. actually, it's been in the pipeline for 5 years already, so it's not that new. but as the deadline to end the project is drawing near, fingers start wagging about ppl not adhering to deadlines given, and preventing the project from being finished. whatever. just give me a drink, and i shall watch the show from the sidelines. ah well... another day's work.

Yay! Friday it is!

My oh my, recovered from a fight with hao-e late last night. woke up wif puffy eyes and was quite yawn-y the whole of today. we're all havin a break from work today. first time wif no real big boss. except for the one who's been jamming every single paper i've put up. let's see him "uplift the ambience of the terminal" with new fancy concepts that can pay your high rentals. damn him. am waiting for colleagues to leave the office for a buffet dinner at hanabi. it's my first trip to hanabi. can't wait to assess how good the jap food is there. have high hope, so it had betta be betta than good. bought a necklace from mini bits after lunch at fish and co. very nice and affordable. don't know where its from or what its made of. but it looks good. so that's all i care. i don't have a dream, nor a goal, and i don't want to work so hard that my head falls off my neck to "discover my dream". so what? i'm a slacker, alwa
