Went to Tiong Bahru for makan last Saturday evening. The new market is vastly different from the old, some say it has lost its old character and charm. but it is definitely bigger, airier, less crowded and drier. carpark lots are still hard to come by, the chwee kuey is still the same, except the stall is smaller and the gigantic steamer has disappeared. couldn't find the old zhu za tang that i so loved when i was still wearing the pleated blue uniform.

Coup in BKK

Amazingly unfortunate week. Bangkok has declared a state of emergency, when i was so looking forward to our short trip there next month. Jetstar is refusing to pick up my call. Have heard the "our agents are busy. Your call is important to us. We will attend to you shortly." But i have been holding for 25 mins and it's still the same. how important do you think my call is? is everyone trying to change their flight plans now? Why Why Why??? Sigh. Can things get any worse? Will Jetstar grant me a reprieve by letting me go to Bali instead? Will everyone just loosen up a little and stop hounding me for things i can't do anything about?

Chose my gowns liao

Went to the Bridal Studio last Thurs to choose the gowns for our wedding. Wasn't so great an experience cos Hao-e was falling asleep and i had to keep prodding him awake for his comments. tried through like prob 20-30 gowns, and finally decided on one with a low v-back and beaded bodice, white (note: not cream or off-white) gown with silver embriodery at the hem. evening gown: chose one that i never thought i would wear. all the better, cos there's no way i would step out of the house with that neo-cheongsam look. it is black, beaded with red flowers!!! ahem.. we'll see how it looks in the photos. The last gown i chose was for the outdoor photo shoot. very simple with some details at the tail. hope it will look good. hao-e got 2 suits, black and white. so easy to choose for him. that was also the point when he was most awake. darn. how come? being bullied by my boss again. sickening woman.

Goong

Have i gushed to everyone about my current favourite Korean show, Goong (Palace)?? It is a story about teen love, loyalty and responsibility, about the fictitious setting of what if? what if the korean imperial family were still alive in today's context, how would their lives be like? True to expectation, the serial shows them closeted, out of touch with society, and struggling to keep up and abreast with society, who sometimes view them as a liability, yet idolises them as if the age-old belief that they are divine is really true. The actors are young and fresh-faced, and they are pretty cute. esp the crown prince. love him so much. tempted to change allegiance from kwon sang woo.... haha this show was more entertaining than full house. think it appealed to every girl's childhood dream of meeting the perfect prince who is madly in love with you, who is gentle yet strong, and very loyal. sigh... chivalry and gallantry is dead in this day and age. bring some of those b

ITS THE WEEKEND AGAIN

dunno how many actually read this, its 9.48am on a saturday morning. i'm dead beat, cos i couldn't fall asleep last night. it's getting tougher to get deep restful sleep nowadays... Remember not so long ago, when we were still young and innocent (holy innocents....) without a care in this world, life used to be uncomplicated, simple, wonderful. what happened to that bliss? why the need to grow up? what am i worried about? lotsa stuff lah. work is one. wedding is second. sigh sighs if my big boss really clamp down on the recent spate of events, wah lau how the hell am i going to be able to leave next year?? sigh sigh sigh... what the "f" is happening? stupid stupid stupid....
