Happy Deepavali!

Dressed you up for lunch at Chopsuey Cafe at Dempsey.  You were as usual in good spirits and an absolute angel and mummy and daddy could enjoy a drink during lunch.

8th October 2017

Chilling on the sofa after a feed Romper is a bit too big for you, but thanks to the uncles and aunties in daddy's office, you have a romper with your name!  I hope you're always this cheery, my little sweet pea.

D-15

In a little over a fortnight, we'll be seeing our baby girl again.  It's been so long, I hope she has some inkling of what's happening with her and is as excited as we are. There are still many hurdles we have to clear before you become our daughter. I hope you are eating, sleeping and growing well.  Sweet dreams, little one.

Are you our baby Eva?

On Friday, 21st July 2017, at 1:54pm, I got a text from our agent regarding a one-week old infant girl in Medan.  She was born on Saturday, 15th July 2017, at 8:35am weighing 3.0kg. Little baby girl was 2-weeks old when we saw her.  She's tiny. She yawned and fussed...

I had decided in the middle of 2016, unilaterally at first then sought consensus after with my lifelong partner, that the big project of 2017 was to add one person to our family. This prompted our move to the current apartment which has an additional bedroom and a larger balcony area and plenty of running-around space downstairs. For years I had resisted the thought, reasons aplenty... we were not ready to give up our freedom, we were too selfish and immature, we have no patience, we have no space, etc etc etc.  For years we'd successfully defended our decision deflecting all the nosy questions about why we were taking so long, why not try to have our own kids, blah blah blah. For reasons unbeknownst to me, i changed my mind last year. I am lucky that my close pals started having kids late.  For years we were carefree together, we couldn't care less. I am eternally grateful for that. Children didn't mean much to me.  I'm not naturally maternal, it is not in my...
