As we are preparing for the upcoming week in London (!) (YAY!!!) typical control freak that i am have lots of things going through my mind. one, orange or voda? hmm... orange seems like the better deal, but who knows, the one which i chance upon first on Monday morning will be THE ONE! two, musical or play? if we're watching a musical, should we go for the classics like Les Miz which amazingly hao-e hasn't seen, or something different? either way, should we get tickets in advance? ah... choices choices choices... happy problem though. Super bitchy tidbit: 2 ex-schoolmates have hooked up!! haha... was so surprised at this strange twist of events, but hey, on second thoughts, they are perfect for each other! they really are!

Current Favourite Jay Chou song on perpetual loop

Again, i must say, i am pretty impressed with 方文山's lyrics. Cheem.... need to check dictionary man...
one of my friends from stanford just had a baby. yeps. this ain't the first baby born to someone i know and of my age. and this morning, i just found out a friend who looks barely 40 has a 23 year-old daughter. she's already a grandma btw.. my jaw dropped all the way to the basement. as most of you would know, i don't wish to have kids. here are some basic reasons why... loss of money - huge huge monetary investment. besides the trips to the gynae/pediatrician/family physician, prepare for the shopping trips to polo kids, gap kids, and osh kosh that will zap you of your $$ for the next 8-10 years. [following that the teen would bug you about polo, gap, mango, and zara. and the adult will talk about coach, gucci, fendi and the like.] not to mention the piano, swimming and ballet lessons. oh, and let's not talk about their college education... loss of freedom - need to report back for feedings of the animals, no holidays for the first few years unless you have
The weekend passed too quickly! How i wished weekends last 5 days instead of 2. we had a wonderful time tasting a total of 7 wines last friday. it was the trading team's event, and we managed to go cos hao-e supporting the traders. there weren't too many of us there, as the team wasn't large, but it was a night full of surprises. we or actually i learnt during the course of the evening, that we may not move over to the uk afterall. in the space of 2 weeks, the dynamics have changed and it mayn't be such a good idea to move. that was disappointing of course, since i had already started looking at jobs on the websites. but then again, we're doing pretty ok here, settling into a routine, meeting some of the friendliest and chattiest people in the world (!). ah well, there ain't no point in planning anything now. not within our control anymore. BUT, i am looking forward to a short holiday in London next week. I haven't been back since Oct 2003 and tha

TGIF

This is the end of the first work week for us since returning last weekend. Officially, we're now half-way through the last work-day of the week. YIPPEE!!! It was tough getting over the jet lag this time, especially for me. Took me all of 6 days. Not too bad actually, considering i'm correcting 2 hours in each day. Last night was the first night i slept till the alarm woke me up at 6.30am this morning. yeps, all 8 hours full of sleep. Didn't toss and turn on the bed trying to get back to sleep at 4.30am. Nope, just peaceful rest. I Like! How's everyone getting on in Singapore? Gosh, it was so difficult boarding that flight in T3 last Thursday. My sis, get this, NOT my mum ok, MY SISTER actually teared at the airport. Aww... *pat pat back*. We'll be back before you even know it. In the meantime, continue missing your little sister, cos i'll be missing you from here too. Oh! we are heading to London on 2 - 11 Mar. Can't wait for that to happen.
Hi everyone! We're back on the island. we came back on friday evening managing to sneak past both US and Bermuda customs without much fuss and after such a long time in the air that our body clocks went crazy. we're still jet-lagging and sleeping crazy hours just cos we can't stay up till the appropriate sleeping times. (it's a 12hour time difference afterall.) but i'm determined to go to bed at 10pm tonight after watching the last episode of dance wars, instead of 3pm on Sat and 8pm last night. did i mention i woke up at 4am on both mornings? absolute rubbish sleeping, no rest at all! i'm loaded with so much caffeine from the 4 cups of coffee i've had since 7am this morning, that i'm oozing caffeine from my pores i tell you. btw i'm still coughing my lungs out and hao-e still has his ulcers (the effect of the horrendous weather in Singapore). i know i don't make sense, and the sentences don't gel, but i'm relying on coffee to keep awake,
