Three hours of waiting around, getting poked, probed and prodded.  Oh, not forgetting I was flashed at with invisible x-rays. it's the hated health exam at Raffles Healthscreeners. I have to say, they run a mean money-spinning show over there, the number of ushers/nurses to the number of screening patients is really quite high.  There were a couple of these medical tourists as well and they had interpreters following them around the whole morning.  Woah, my deluxe package already costs 400 bucks, how much are they paying? Good news so far: I think my eyesight has improved. I can't remember how much fat I had the last time, but currently 25% of me is fat.  That sounded pretty crazy until I found out I was in the fit/healthy region, so I'm safe. Phew. Chest pain is muscular, not a minor heart attack as feared. Oh and the nurse was so commendable.  She managed to draw 3 tubes of blood from a vein that I didn't even know was there. Duplication is a risk control measure. The storage water heater we have in the master shower broke, it kept shorting and tripping the electricity.  Had to take a shower in the spare bathroom, thank God for spares.  I guess you never realise how important the spares are until the mains quit on you. A pity the Joven technicians can only come take a look at it next week.  Must tahan small shower for a couple more days, cannot complain. Please let it be a small fixable problem.

I had the pleasure of taking a computer-based test yesterday morning and realized just how loud keyboards are… deafening in fact.  Can’t complain because I was taking an MCQ test, so all I did was strike-out the ridiculous options and click the right answer, nothing too strenuous.  Thank God I never needed to type my SAT or GRE essay directly on the computer.  Would have sucked at piecing my points together.  I’m quite old school in that sense.  Sat through 2 hours of keyboard clacking and mouse clicking before I was finally let out of that super-cold environment.  I passed.  Yippee.

This was our first lunar new year in asia in 5 years. I tried to be a dutiful DIL by offering to purchase some of the new year goodies for the FIL but that totally backfired cos FIL ended up buying a lot more additional stuff.  Perhaps I didn't pick those things he likes, or maybe he finished all those that I bought before new year's eve, who knows.  Anyway, the point is I tried. *pat on the back* Had way too many hotpots and way too much sweetened drinks as usual.  nearly died during pilates class yesterday, i need to lose some weight now...

So adult the pattern compared to ones we have... Haven't bought a new set in 7-8 years... Although this set turned out to be a bit big...
