Poked, Probed, Prodded

Three hours of waiting around, getting poked, probed and prodded.  Oh, not forgetting I was flashed at with invisible x-rays. it's the hated health exam at Raffles Healthscreeners.

I have to say, they run a mean money-spinning show over there, the number of ushers/nurses to the number of screening patients is really quite high.  There were a couple of these medical tourists as well and they had interpreters following them around the whole morning.  Woah, my deluxe package already costs 400 bucks, how much are they paying?

Good news so far:
I think my eyesight has improved.
I can't remember how much fat I had the last time, but currently 25% of me is fat.  That sounded pretty crazy until I found out I was in the fit/healthy region, so I'm safe. Phew.
Chest pain is muscular, not a minor heart attack as feared.

Oh and the nurse was so commendable.  She managed to draw 3 tubes of blood from a vein that I didn't even know was there. My veins are small so most people just settle for the one and only visible vein on my right arm.  She went for the one that is not visible, one shot one kill, no pain too.  She is good. I wanted to give her a slow clap ceremony after that.

Hopefully all the test results will come back clear. Please God.

3.5 more working days. my mind is on holiday! last evening's kickboxing class totally killed me! i huffed and puffed and threatened to punch my imaginary opponent senseless, but in the end, it was i that suffered, not the air molecules that got knocked around. my body is aching like a 90-year-old who's just completed 100 push-ups. i couldn't sleep last night because of the pain. i had to wake hao-e up to massage my shoulder-blades which were so sore and is still kicking up a ruckus behind me. my gosh! i tis old and feeble.

Back Safe and Sound

This is my first post since we left Bermuda for Singapore more than 3 weeks ago. We are battling serious jet lag this time. it might be the age-factor (yikes!) or because we didn't rest properly on the flights (yes plural!) back cos we were busy trying to exhaust all the new movies on krisworld, or maybe a combination of both lah. but both of us have been trying very hard to keep awake at 3pm. yes, the sleep monster strikes at that hour! thank God we are going to remove time saving tonight, so we have 1 less hour to correct this weekend. talking about movies, twilight was amazingly easy on the eye! although i hesitate to call ourselves twilight converts given that i was highly skeptical at first. but the eye candy in the form of Rob Pattersin/Edward Cullen is really irresistible (did you know Rob Pattersin was Cedric in Harry Potter??) .... argh. i wanna get bitten by this vamp too lor! BITE ME! Hao-e even bought New Moon (the sequal) to read this weekend and i spent almost ...

Back To Reality

It's over! We're finally married (in the eyes of the Church!). It was really pretty fun last sat, thank God for the sunny weather (a bit hot lah, but at least it didn't rain till after), for the wonderful guests and my fantastic friends. hope it wasn't too uncomfortable under the sun for everyone.
