This time of the wet variety.  Tomorrow's the start of the long 4-day weekend commonly known as Cup Match weekend.  Every year, we're stuck here while the rest move en-masse off island.  Sigh.  Can't leave during Summer holidays, can't leave during Christmas period.  People without kids suffer through long maternity leave, periodic kids' sick leave, constant kids' doctors appointments, are expected to work longer hours, and cannot take leave during Summer/Winter holidays.  Wow, we're so totally marginalised we could be the new "blacks". Warm warm weather nowadays... very sticky, humid, and burning hot.  no floods here, which is a good thing.  hopefully no one is adversely affected by the flash floods in Singapore.  i've heard of several incidents, but of course these are the landed properties and condominiums with basement carparks.  Remind me not to buy a property next to the big long-kows a.k.a. telok kurau, kallang, bt timah, etc. and not

i just took the Corporate Finance exam yesterday.  results will be out in 4 weeks time.  starting another VEE online course this week.   CAN'T WAIT TO FINISH ALL THESE B****Y EXAMS! My boss doesn't support me taking exams.  Every time he sees me take out the textbook to read, he piles me with more work and asks me questions like "do you really learn anything that is applicable to this industry?" well, BUGGER OFF !! if you're not going to be supportive, at least just keep quiet!    if there was any other way i could become an actuary without these exams, i will gladly say YAY, but since there's none, I'll just shut up, grit my teeth and bear with it.   TAHAN!

Dear Jade, Why do you call yourself Jade? Did you realise our blogs are using the same template? How long has it been since we last met?  Must have been years...  How's life in one of my favouritest cities in the world? I have a confession to make... though I go to mass every Sunday, i actually haven't been confirmed yet.  I keep pushing it and delaying it, sometimes I actually forget about it, but it comes back and haunts me once a year when I see others getting confirmed.  Just thought I should let you in on my guilt cos you're my spiritual family senior. One - Brazil is out of the world cup. boo.... Two - I failed my exam.  double boo for finding it out on my birthday..... Three - I'll be missing another friend's wedding this Friday.  boo.... Four - my next trip is not for another 2 months.  booo.....

As the temperature heats up, all i'm thinking about are lazy afternoon naps....  it's almost 2pm on a monday, it's slow in the office. all i want to do is head home, switch on the AC and sleep!
