Jay Chou

Blasting Jay Chou into my ears with my broken ear-phones.. hee. I still love him so much! one of those singers whose songs cause my body to move and groove to the rhythm. just feel like dancing. my interest in mr chou waned though in recent months due to his new gf. i mean she's an improvement over jolin but i still think she's a bit ah... how shall i put it, not very nice. somehow i feel she's mean. not as guai and angelic as she looks. still have a soft spot for ppl who are nice. why can't ppl be nice? i'm trying to be nice. (my new mantra - "Be nice") haha. i mean people who know me from before know i'm quite harsh and critical and unforgiving. so nice has got be a NEW mantra for me. Next thing you know, i'll be meditating in a nunnery atop a mountain with a thousand steps cut into it. every morning i'll be climbing down those steps to fetch a pail of water... and jack and i will fall down the hill with the pail and all... yikes, i'm totally not making sense am i? haha.... but i'm happy today.

I came to work at 9am today. found out small boss is on leave. bliss. i'm on my way out and the feeling's superb. i'm going on a four-week long course from next tuesday! and i'll be off to a new start! [i hope and i pray this will be the case, if not, i'll be sulking for another 6 mths!]

3.5 more working days. my mind is on holiday! last evening's kickboxing class totally killed me! i huffed and puffed and threatened to punch my imaginary opponent senseless, but in the end, it was i that suffered, not the air molecules that got knocked around. my body is aching like a 90-year-old who's just completed 100 push-ups. i couldn't sleep last night because of the pain. i had to wake hao-e up to massage my shoulder-blades which were so sore and is still kicking up a ruckus behind me. my gosh! i tis old and feeble.

Accident on Front St

Hao-e and i just witnessed a horrible freak accident on Front St. Tonight is the first Harbour Night of 2007, and we happened to be in town for dinner. After dinner, we walked along Front St looking at the stalls set up along the side walk. There were stalls selling jewellery, ice-cream, hand-crafts, pepper jam/sauce, soap etc. And there was quite a good crowd as well cos there were 2 cruise ships docked at the Hamilton harbour. When the gombey dancers started their performance, we stood on the side walk of Burnaby St watching, gaping and taking photos. All of a sudden this horse carriage with 2 horses just sped along crushing the crowds underneath. The horses trampled over and the carriage rolled over some ppl!!! Eeks, we were shocked beyond words, thinking it could have been us. The parameds came and took 4 on stretchers. It was horrible. Hope noone is seriously hurt.

The Tudors

I just realised how good looking Jonathon Rhys Meyers is? Gosh, i just love his chiseled face and beautiful eyes. Anyway, so i chanced upon this new series loosely based on THE Henry VIII, second king of the Tudor Dynasty. You guys should watch it if you are as besotted with him and as fascinated with anything royal as i am. hehe.... So i went to find out a bit more about the rather infamous king on wiki and here's some trivia about his eventful life ( i bet, with so many women around him?!) Technically, Henry was only married twice. Four of his marriages were annulled which means they never took place. His court jester was named Will Somers . The only surviving piece of clothing worn by Henry VIII is a cap of maintenance , awarded to the Mayor of Waterford , along with a bearing sword, in 1536 . It currently resides in the Waterford Museum of Treasures . Henry VIII was the first member of the English Royal Family to wear silk stockings.
