Went to MOS for the very first time last night. Very fun place, brought back loads of memories of clubs in London - many rooms, each with its own character and theme and music. particularly enjoyed infusion, this 3-man band that was mixing the tunes in the main room. spent the last half hour or so in there dancing/wiggling/jiggling next to the water screen. Boy the music, lights, smoke, etc was just mind-blowing. realised that i missed clubbing. dunno when and why it lost its appeal to me after coming back. perhaps because i abstained during the last year of college, and didn't find any club back home that was ALL THAT enjoyable. certain pubs were good with live bands, but no really happening club. MOS is really one i would return to though for dancing. drinks wise, not really that good, except they had a 1-for-1 tequila shots and tequila pop, which was good to get high quickly. haha. Alice was the cutest. Love her when she's high, she's very cute - loud, but cute.

Today's a holiday. Didn't do much other than chat online with my godpa-in-law (i.e. hubby's godpa). decided he should be renamed Guo Jing - the hero in Jin Yong's She diao ying xiong zhuan. Must think of a huang rong for him to balance his character. har har.

Happy Easter!

Busy Easter weekend! Got my screening report from the doctors on Thursday, I have to cut down on sugars, oily food and carbs.... uhoh, nothing about the lumps so i'm grateful. Marc Jacobs bag arrived in the evening, woohoo!   Good Friday was spent in Church and shopping at Sim Lim Square for Hao-e's new PC. Pilates on Saturday morning after a week's break, super out of shape.  think i should probably start doing some exercises at home and maybe go for swim downstairs when i get a chance. Chewy had a good scrubbing session at noon then off to watch Le Noir at Sands Theatre on Saturday afternoon, fun! Cousin-in-law's wedding dinner at Conrad on Saturday evening, no shark's fin which was a bummer. Easter mass on Sunday morning followed by Qingming thingamie at Mt Vernon. Sunday brunch at York Hotel's Penang Hawker Buffet, yum! Watched 1.5 movies too - GI Joe (meh) and SVFV (vulgar).  SVFV was the movie that  was banned and made the h...

dinner at swizzle inn

last night we had a most scrumptious bbq dinner at the original swizzle inn . much much much better than the dinner we had some days back with O and K at the branch in warwick. woo.... i had the char-grilled prime rib and the much famed rum swizzle, while hao-e had the margarita shrimp and strawberry daiquiri. blogging about it brings back nice memories. heh. Oh! C and i found some fresh watercress at the marketplace yesterday. so today's lunch we had watercress soup. i've been yearning for some light clear vegetable soup for some time... especially after a discussion with HL about the lack of vege variety here, and how she spotted kailan on the island! KAILAN !!! how did they manage to get their hands on kailan ?! i was joking with HL that one of the chefs must have secretly brought over some seeds and planted some in his back garden. or else why doesn't kailan appear in the vege aisle of the marketplace as well?! oh, and i bought some canned longan, jackfrui...

Chewy's Gone

Sent my dog over to my in-laws' place last sunday and taught my mum-in-law how to shower her, brush her fur, brush her teeth, etc. Things that i have gotten used to doing for my little girl. Very heavy heartedly left her there. It's been a tough 2 days at home without her whining, innocent looks, and playful prancing. How i wish we could bring her there straight away! I will just have to live with her pictures in my phone for now.... As always, being realistic and level-headed, we decided to leave her here till we find suitable accomodation. I really hope she still recognises us when we next come back here. Or else, i will cry.
