i'm trying to recover from a head-splitting migraine that woke me up at 5am this morning. had to drag myself out of bed, grab some cereal and down 2 panadols to quell it abit. as a result, i'm a little groggy, fuzzy and not quite awake. it is now after 1pm. i hope i don't fall asleep at the desk. there's this dull ache at the back of my skull, i think it is pre-assignment-related stress.

this is perhaps the do-or-die stage of my life. if i succeed (i.e. excel + like), i would begin my next phase of life in a brand new career, totally disjointed from my last. it may justify a longer stay on the island just to see how it all pans out. it's been a long break from real work.

saw GI Joe on Saturday with Colin. there were cringe-worthy moments involving some cliche lines from the Baroness Sienna Miller. (there was never a moment in the show when i believed her to be a killer, never. that's how bad she is.) there were other lol moments with ripcord as well. but most of all, i'm really impressed with lee byung hun. they may have done some dubbing for his parts, i'm not sure, but if not, he sure speaks great english! go watch it for the effects. appreciate it as an action flick, and stop analysising the storyline. it's based on a comic mind you.

Back Safe and Sound

This is my first post since we left Bermuda for Singapore more than 3 weeks ago. We are battling serious jet lag this time. it might be the age-factor (yikes!) or because we didn't rest properly on the flights (yes plural!) back cos we were busy trying to exhaust all the new movies on krisworld, or maybe a combination of both lah. but both of us have been trying very hard to keep awake at 3pm. yes, the sleep monster strikes at that hour! thank God we are going to remove time saving tonight, so we have 1 less hour to correct this weekend. talking about movies, twilight was amazingly easy on the eye! although i hesitate to call ourselves twilight converts given that i was highly skeptical at first. but the eye candy in the form of Rob Pattersin/Edward Cullen is really irresistible (did you know Rob Pattersin was Cedric in Harry Potter??) .... argh. i wanna get bitten by this vamp too lor! BITE ME! Hao-e even bought New Moon (the sequal) to read this weekend and i spent almost ...

Back To Reality

It's over! We're finally married (in the eyes of the Church!). It was really pretty fun last sat, thank God for the sunny weather (a bit hot lah, but at least it didn't rain till after), for the wonderful guests and my fantastic friends. hope it wasn't too uncomfortable under the sun for everyone.
3.5 more working days. my mind is on holiday! last evening's kickboxing class totally killed me! i huffed and puffed and threatened to punch my imaginary opponent senseless, but in the end, it was i that suffered, not the air molecules that got knocked around. my body is aching like a 90-year-old who's just completed 100 push-ups. i couldn't sleep last night because of the pain. i had to wake hao-e up to massage my shoulder-blades which were so sore and is still kicking up a ruckus behind me. my gosh! i tis old and feeble.
