One, time.
I can't do without a watch.  I'm so used to having it on my wrist to look at.  Sometimes I am driving the car, and I start to wonder how many minutes have passed since i began my journey... I actually can't tell you exactly.  I'll probably say things like 5 or 10 mins, but never 3 mins, 8 mins or even 12 mins.  That's too exact for an estimation.  It gets even harder for me when it stretches beyond 30 mins.  I suppose some people have an inner timer in their heads/bodies, and they are able to tell that "we've walked for around 45 mins now so given our average walking speed of 2 km/h we should have covered 1.5 km."  It turned out he wasn't too far off.  How did he do that?
Two, price of things.
I need to google it to know. I was recently sent this article about a family building a catamaran.  I didn't have an inkling as to how much it would take to build a big 77-footer cat.  Initially I was guessing around a million?  Wrong.  More like 5 times that.   How about that semi-d in Bukit Timah? I thought 4 or 5 bucks, ha! More like 7 bucks lor.  Totally off, and by a huge margin.  Sigh, shake head.  I can tell you how much a handbag costs though, if it helps.  heh... I guess I need to expand my horizons.
