Date: 2 April 2005 (Saturday)
4 of us went to the cafe last Saturday. It was raining a little, and we were inside this cutsy little 2-door subaru vicki ( i think), which apparently took some time to start.. the poor little thing had to contend with the weight of all 4 of us, climbing the slopes of SMU all the way to Botanical Gdns. It was one of the most amusing rides (one other being the ride i took when i was 6+ on my uncle's scooter, i was scared stiff and according to mum, my face turned green after the ride... haha). the other cars whizzed past us, as the needle on the speedometer struggled to climb a notch a second..
The food there was not bad, but it really is quite pretty. a rather yuppie place to hang out, amongst the expatriates and tourists. there was the sound of the rain, coupled with the sound of the water gushing down some plants next to the cafe. all in all, quite a nice spot away from the hustle and bustle of city life, with no hint of mossies (good work National Parks and NEA!!), and just a short cab ride to town. who's brilliant idea was it to have a garden at Cluny Road? Raffles? *salute*
