Amidst pleads that there aren't enough photos on my blog, i've over-compensated with an avalanche of photos of this past weekend. TAKE THAT!!
hao-e and i went off shopping on saturday morning, trying to walk off the extra calories gained from the dinner at Silk. Was contemplating on getting myself a bag (yes, i hear cries of "don't you already have like a thousand bags?" the answer which i believe all females reading would totally agree with is, "no. never. nuh-ah." ) So whilst being waylaid by bodyshop and the other fashion shops, i did bring hao-e to M&E to have a look at the bag i was eyeing. well, conclusion was, it didn't look as good as i thought it did last wednesday, so thankfully i didn't succumb to my impulses last week or i would have regretted it. Levi's and Dockers were upstairs of M&E (Lusso which retails upmarket brands like Fendi, Salvatore and Prada is downstairs of M&E, i mean REALLY), so we trooped upstairs to have a look. Bought 2 pairs of pants for mum which were on 50% and 75% sale. woohoo!! hopefully she'll like it. Also ended up renting 2 DVDs - Jim Carrey's "23" and Sandra Bullock's "Premonition" to watch over the weekend... SWEET!!
For lunch, we went to Sushi Tei (opened by fellow compatriot, and therefore deserves frequent patronage) for lunch... On the way to St Georges, the bridge "folded", or more accurately swung out, to allow this tall sailboat to pass. See below for illustration. We were having fun trying to figure out the mechanics of this bridge.. did you manage to?
Then we drove all the way east into the historic town centre and found this little bookstore in Tucker House. hao-e was craving to be nourished by literary works so we went in. BUT, dun think it had books hao-e was interested in cos he came back out within 5 mins. haha... it ain't no borders nor kino lor... the boss is just sitting right behind the cashier within an earshot, now see if you dare to browse??
Sushi Tei was as usual, pretty quiet. such a pity, cos they have pretty nice stuff available... hao-e started goofing around before the food came...
We ordered shrimp fried rice, chicken karaage, spider roll and york st special. the one on the left is the york st special roll... notice it's shaped like a townhouse? pretty interesting flavours with fresh salmon, mangoes and cucumber. yummy!
