we're going to poker night tomorrow so i was surfing around for new cookie recipes yesterday. this one is aptly called "fabulous brownie cookies". ooh... just the sound of the name gets me all excited...
melting the chocolate and butter together...
couldn't resist tasting it, and i assure you, it was H-E-A-V-E-N!

the finished batter with extra choc chips added... look at that... ah...
had a hard time stopping my wandering fingers
from dipping into it and tasting it...

voila! presenting the finished product!
the tops cracked like brownies and they were chewy inside.
IRRESISTIBLE!
i baked like 120 cookies in all, took me the entire morning from 10am - 1pm to finish baking all 10 batches. can't be helped cos i only have one baking sheet for cookies, so it's 12 at a time or i risk them coagulating into one other. you know it ain't pretty "when 2 become 1". (ok ok, so i listened to the spice girls, live with it.)
today, tropical storm noel has upgraded to hurricane category 1 status (i.e. least strength) and will be passing approx 340miles on the west of bermuda (i.e. on the east of florida and east coast of US) early tomorrow morning. the little palms outside my house are in for a tough time trying to stay upright. no worries, it will lose its hurricane status by tomorrow so it's unlikely we'd suffer anything more than just strong winds and rain. and when i say strong, i mean really quite strong, cos i did feel my car shake this morning when i stopped at the traffic junction waiting for the light to turn green. i mean THAT strong.
