We've been married for 81 months.
We've been dating for 92 months.
We've known each other for 100 months. Woohoo!
Matt and I had a weird conversation last evening in the car-ride home. It actually stemmed from another conversation some days back that of the 6 adults in the same generation of extended family including all in-laws and siblings who are Singaporean (i.e. Matt, Matt's sister, Matt's sister's husband, Matt's sister's husband's sister, my sister and I), we have only produced one child. That's a replacement rate of under 17%. So yesterday in the car, I said, "When we hit our 40-ies, we should adopt a 4-year old child, preferably a girl". Matt actually agreed, with a simple refinement, said event should happen when the average age of us both equal to 45 years. I did a simple calculation today, that day happens to be 1st August 2025 (or slightly before 1st August, but we'll take it as 1st August anyway).
That would bring the replacement rate (ceteris paribus) up to over 33%. I think that's substantial. Don't you?
13 years more to go.
