Much Ado About Nothing

Saturday!
We walked chewy in the morning and did some laundry. after dat, just basically didn't do anything and slept. sleepy weekend it was!! woke up to do some facial (silk whitia) that was quite good, and went to church for our rite of sending off... reminds me of a funeral, but it was basically something for the congregation to see that the RCIA and RCIY produced 52 catechumens who are ready for baptism this easter. Yes! we are getting baptised into the catholic church this Easter! ain't that exciting? Which reminds me, i need to do some shopping soon, need a white dress for the grand occasion. From thence i shall have a new name in a new life. "NATALIE" is a very beautiful dancer that i knew and admired from school days. I don't think she's in SDT anymore. but she had perfectly arched feet. another dancer and very good friend of mine has Natalie as her confirmation name as well. So i've chosen Natalie, which means "born during christmas" as my baptism name, as it is through HIM that i am reborn.

"MATTHEW" is my baybay's new name and i think it's perfect for him, it means "Gift from the Lord", and he's really God's gift to me!

Sunday!
Today's a lazy sunday on a very nuah weekend. Spent the morning having breakfast, walking Chewy around Bedok Central, looking for her food (but not locating any.. and getting a mini sermon from the shop assistant on having chewy on one type of food for too long, i mean, she's only 5 mths old, and she's been on this food for like 2 mths?? anyway, he's a funny man that was pretty insistent, so we left the building asap), showering chewy, put up the clothes to dry on bamboo poles, and doing some ironing. wow! that was a long list, let me count... 6 things accomplished (including breakfast) all by 2pm too!! so perhaps it's not such a lazy day for me...

Went to bed after watching some afternoon tv, and had some fun with H-T, afterwhich i'm now bathed and beautiful and waiting for my beloved to rise and shine for dinner!

Forgive and Forget

it's been a long time since i've written anything of a serious nature. i try to keep this blog lighthearted but some things have been bugging me lately and i need to ventilate and detox myself. so please bear with me as i spurt and sputter some bad blood. one, because of man A's negligence, my start date has been delayed till further notice. was rather upset about it, not because i was looking forward to what i thought i was about to do, but because once again, my plans have been thwarted by things and people beyond my control. i should have been able to start in july had hao-e's permanent work permit been granted right after his first temporary work permit lapsed. BUT, it didn't happen that way cos hao-e had to settle for a second temporary work permit as they tried to sort out his permanent one. now, with this delay, i'm not sure when i can begin contributing to the "save stella" fund. [C was really cute today as i told her the amount that i ...

Happy Easter!

Busy Easter weekend! Got my screening report from the doctors on Thursday, I have to cut down on sugars, oily food and carbs.... uhoh, nothing about the lumps so i'm grateful. Marc Jacobs bag arrived in the evening, woohoo!   Good Friday was spent in Church and shopping at Sim Lim Square for Hao-e's new PC. Pilates on Saturday morning after a week's break, super out of shape.  think i should probably start doing some exercises at home and maybe go for swim downstairs when i get a chance. Chewy had a good scrubbing session at noon then off to watch Le Noir at Sands Theatre on Saturday afternoon, fun! Cousin-in-law's wedding dinner at Conrad on Saturday evening, no shark's fin which was a bummer. Easter mass on Sunday morning followed by Qingming thingamie at Mt Vernon. Sunday brunch at York Hotel's Penang Hawker Buffet, yum! Watched 1.5 movies too - GI Joe (meh) and SVFV (vulgar).  SVFV was the movie that  was banned and made the h...

The Tudors

I just realised how good looking Jonathon Rhys Meyers is? Gosh, i just love his chiseled face and beautiful eyes. Anyway, so i chanced upon this new series loosely based on THE Henry VIII, second king of the Tudor Dynasty. You guys should watch it if you are as besotted with him and as fascinated with anything royal as i am. hehe.... So i went to find out a bit more about the rather infamous king on wiki and here's some trivia about his eventful life ( i bet, with so many women around him?!) Technically, Henry was only married twice. Four of his marriages were annulled which means they never took place. His court jester was named Will Somers . The only surviving piece of clothing worn by Henry VIII is a cap of maintenance , awarded to the Mayor of Waterford , along with a bearing sword, in 1536 . It currently resides in the Waterford Museum of Treasures . Henry VIII was the first member of the English Royal Family to wear silk stockings.
