Shocking News

it's funny the amount of information you can receive from a large but muted plasma tv hanging on the wall in front of the treadmills. for several days last week, Britney hogged the US news. one, she held her boys hostage while threatening to kill herself. After which, she turned up at the courthouse hours late for her custody battle. Then she decided she's not only called "Brit"-ney, she IS a Brit and started putting on a Brit accent. Following that, she denied she ever dated her ex-boyfriend. Boy, this girl is in a whole lot of trouble. At the rate she's spiraling out of control, i think the she'll either spin her way onto the moon or end up in an institution.

Today's shocking headline: Heath Ledger has died.
While huffing and puffing away with my knees half buckling, i realised a half of the famed brokeback couple has passed away. he was found dead in mary-kate olsen's apartment in soho with sleeping pills by his side. suspected suicide attempt through drug overdose. another young life has gone to waste.

incidentally, both protagonists are my age.
has fame and fortune come to them too fast?
when the world looks on in envy at their success, were they secretly wishing they hadn't been so successful?
what eventually broke them, their lives and their sanity?

3.5 more working days. my mind is on holiday! last evening's kickboxing class totally killed me! i huffed and puffed and threatened to punch my imaginary opponent senseless, but in the end, it was i that suffered, not the air molecules that got knocked around. my body is aching like a 90-year-old who's just completed 100 push-ups. i couldn't sleep last night because of the pain. i had to wake hao-e up to massage my shoulder-blades which were so sore and is still kicking up a ruckus behind me. my gosh! i tis old and feeble.

Back Safe and Sound

This is my first post since we left Bermuda for Singapore more than 3 weeks ago. We are battling serious jet lag this time. it might be the age-factor (yikes!) or because we didn't rest properly on the flights (yes plural!) back cos we were busy trying to exhaust all the new movies on krisworld, or maybe a combination of both lah. but both of us have been trying very hard to keep awake at 3pm. yes, the sleep monster strikes at that hour! thank God we are going to remove time saving tonight, so we have 1 less hour to correct this weekend. talking about movies, twilight was amazingly easy on the eye! although i hesitate to call ourselves twilight converts given that i was highly skeptical at first. but the eye candy in the form of Rob Pattersin/Edward Cullen is really irresistible (did you know Rob Pattersin was Cedric in Harry Potter??) .... argh. i wanna get bitten by this vamp too lor! BITE ME! Hao-e even bought New Moon (the sequal) to read this weekend and i spent almost ...

Back To Reality

It's over! We're finally married (in the eyes of the Church!). It was really pretty fun last sat, thank God for the sunny weather (a bit hot lah, but at least it didn't rain till after), for the wonderful guests and my fantastic friends. hope it wasn't too uncomfortable under the sun for everyone.
