Which do you think is colder? Iceland or Greenland? Many would tell you the Iceland is really not that icey while Greenland is really not that green. talk about naming things badly. D tried to explain to me why they were so named. Iceland was discovered first and was named "Iceland" cos it was really quite far north. But that proved to be a PR disaster for new immigration. So they figured that the next land they found in the region would be called "Greenland" instead to conjure up some false sense of "heat" and milder weather. Ha.. thought i would be fooled? silly D. he laughed more than i did.
hoping to be spend some time there this summer. fingers crossed.
