Was waylaid by SISLEY during yesterday's mid-day adventure into town. It was having a half-off sale, end of season i suspect. I thought i'd stick my head in for a quick look-round. but obviously i ended up buying 2 tops - 1 was a black vest i've been eyeing and the other was a olive green wrap-around sweater with butterfly-flappy wings (in anticipation of cooler weather in the fall). yeps both were half price, which is such a good deal ain't it? these are the times i'm truly grateful to be on this island. no crowds, no lack of sizes and no queues for the fitting rooms. ultimate bliss lor! i think i'll be shocked at the crowds when we head over to california in October. i booked 3 cars for the trip from Enterprise, Hertz and Budget. haha, i'm kiasu i know. but they don't charge for the bookings so just book lor! (2nd lor in 3 lines, better explain. 'lor' is very flexible. it can mean an emphasis, or an overly obvious statement e.g. 'ultimate bliss lor' = 'ultimate bliss x1000' and 'just book lor' = 'might as well book'). Due to our booking at Marriott, there was quite a substantial discount for Hertz, so that will be our first choice for the car!

Jeann and I are going to catch Public Enemy this evening. First time in a long time i'm heading to the theatre without Hao-e. wow!

Back Safe and Sound

This is my first post since we left Bermuda for Singapore more than 3 weeks ago. We are battling serious jet lag this time. it might be the age-factor (yikes!) or because we didn't rest properly on the flights (yes plural!) back cos we were busy trying to exhaust all the new movies on krisworld, or maybe a combination of both lah. but both of us have been trying very hard to keep awake at 3pm. yes, the sleep monster strikes at that hour! thank God we are going to remove time saving tonight, so we have 1 less hour to correct this weekend. talking about movies, twilight was amazingly easy on the eye! although i hesitate to call ourselves twilight converts given that i was highly skeptical at first. but the eye candy in the form of Rob Pattersin/Edward Cullen is really irresistible (did you know Rob Pattersin was Cedric in Harry Potter??) .... argh. i wanna get bitten by this vamp too lor! BITE ME! Hao-e even bought New Moon (the sequal) to read this weekend and i spent almost ...

Back To Reality

It's over! We're finally married (in the eyes of the Church!). It was really pretty fun last sat, thank God for the sunny weather (a bit hot lah, but at least it didn't rain till after), for the wonderful guests and my fantastic friends. hope it wasn't too uncomfortable under the sun for everyone.
3.5 more working days. my mind is on holiday! last evening's kickboxing class totally killed me! i huffed and puffed and threatened to punch my imaginary opponent senseless, but in the end, it was i that suffered, not the air molecules that got knocked around. my body is aching like a 90-year-old who's just completed 100 push-ups. i couldn't sleep last night because of the pain. i had to wake hao-e up to massage my shoulder-blades which were so sore and is still kicking up a ruckus behind me. my gosh! i tis old and feeble.
