Now we know it was Eminem/Dido

stan
stan/
informal
noun
  1. 1.
an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity.

"he has millions of stans who are obsessed with him and call him a rap god"
verb
  1. 1.
be an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity.

"y'all know I stan for Katy Perry, so I was excited to see the artwork for her upcoming album"

It's never good to be overzealous or obsessive, to anyone, celebrity or otherwise! Please respect people's privacy.

I don't think I'm obsessing over any one artiste, although there are a few people I would pay a lot of $$$ to see in-person:-

  1. Jacky Cheung - and we saw him last year on his world tour.  Fantabulous!
  2. Jay Chou - and we have seen him twice already in the last 3-4 years.  Always a sing-a-long session at the stadium
  3. Jam Hsiao - cos he's got excellent vocals, when is he coming for a concert again? think i'd missed the previous ones
My current playlist on my phone, on eternal loop, consists of mostly k-pop.  Why? cos I have no idea what they're singing, and this prevents me from singing along in the office! Can you imagine the looks of digust and horror I would get from my co-workers? The current rota include Dean, Got7, Big Bang and most recently, BTS.

To use my new vocabulary, I don't stan anyone, because stanning is akin to a stalker, almost.  I'm a fan, not the electrical kind with blades or no blades, but the one who watches from afar (as near as I can afford anyway...)
